The honorary award recognizing Olamidotun Votu-Obada’s outstanding achievements as a writer is a testament to her dedication to promoting African culture and sharing stories of African Legends. The award was presented by Hon. Effie Triantafilopoulos, MPP, Ontario, at the prestigious book launch, which was well attended by several other dignitaries in Canada.
Hon. Effie Triantafilopoulos represents the riding of Oakville North—Burlington as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario. Effie serves as the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade and as a member of the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs, MPP for Oakville North-Burlington. It was a great honour to have her at the book launch.
